Keystone STARS
Keystone STARS is a quality rating system that promotes improvement in environment and activities in child care settings. The Rouse Children’s Center voluntarily participates in the STARS program.
Keystone STARS:
- Is funded by Pennsylvania Keys
- Allows voluntary participation by child care providers
- Requires participating centers maintain DPW certification
- Provides funding for further teacher education
- Provides funding for equipment and materials for the center
- There are 4 levels
- STAR 1
- STAR 2
- STAR 3
- STAR 4
Toddler Program
- Focuses on the emotional and social development of your growing child
- Toilet learning is introduced
- Provides planned, developmentally appropriate activities in the following areas: gross motor, fine motor, math, science, social studies, language, and creative arts
Preschool Program
- Introduces the academic skills needed for kindergarten
- Continues to focus on emotional and social development
- Integrates the same math, reading, and writing curriculum as the Warren County School District at a preschool level.
- Provides planned, developmentally appropriate activities in the following areas: gross motor, fine motor, math, science, social studies, language, and creative arts
School Age Program
- Provides before and after school care for children
- Transportation offered to and from Youngsville Elementary/Middle School
- Full day Summer Program
- Assistance with homework
- Provides planned, developmentally appropriate activities in the following areas: gross motor, fine motor, math, science, social studies, language, and creative arts
- Travel to the Rouse Estate for intergenerational activities with the residents
