Rouse Children's Center - Programs

Rouse Daycare ProgramsWorking in partnership with the Warren County School District, we use the same reading curriculum, Magraw-Hill Open Court, and the CCC computer program which teaches and assesses pre-reading and pre-math skills.

Toddler Room

Ages 24 months to 2 1/2 years
Focuses on developing social/emotional, communication skills such as sharing, "using our words." Also introduce early pre-K skills such as color and number recognition.

Yellow Room

Ages 2 1/2 to 3 years
Focuses on teaching pre-math skills such as sorting and patterning and also early reading skills such as phonemic awareness (what sound each letter makes).

Blue Room

Ages 4 to 6 years
Focuses on kindergarten readiness, ensuring that each child has the proper skills to be successful upon entering the kindergarten program.

After School

Ages 7 to 12 years
Focuses on homework assisstance, social and cognative development.

Summer School Age

Ages 7 to 12 years
Educational fun in the Summer! Field Trips, Special Speakers, Outdoor Activities. Has been described as Club Med for Kids.

* Engrained in these core areas we also teach science and nature, social studies, and recognition of diversity.
